Rapunzel decided that we should bake a cake for Nana's birthday lunch. We found a cherry chip box mix and a container of cherry frosting in the pantry. The result of this cake was not pretty but it tasted good. Here is the list of what went wrong:
1.) When beating the batter with Bubble G I forgot to add water.
2.) I did not hear the timer when it went off, luckily the cake was not burned.
3.) The cake stuck to the pans when taking it out.
4.) I could only find a Christmas plate to put the cake on.
5.) When flipping the cake onto the plate, it started to break.
6.) Spreading frosting pulled the cake apart. The top cake layer started sliding off the bottom.
7.) When Rapunzel added the purple sprinkles, she dumped them all in one spot.
Oh, well at least it was a great memory and reason why I bake cupcakes.
To celebrate the Super Bowl we made smores for dessert. This baking adventure was short, messy, easy to clean up and delicious.
